I am exhausted!

Wow. My feet are worn, my knees are killing me and my back is insanely sore. I probably stood with Ginger 13 out of 14 hours. I think I sunburned my face.

And I can’t get the grin off my face or the tears out of my eyes.

To all my readers, thank you for following me. I’ll work at getting a few “real” photos up here so definitely check back later this week!

(As a note, the Colorado wasn’t anything like the neighborhood Ball. Stevie Wonder wasn’t at mine. šŸ˜‰ )

  1. Thank you so much for bringing us to DC with you. We all know how difficult it is to try to take everything in and pass it along with less than perfect environment (communicationswise, that is).

Sit back, put those swollen, tired feet up and enjoy an adult beverage! Have a ball tomorrow and safe trip back Thurs. Enjoy your last few hours with Ginger…….she will spin circles around you. She will also show you EVERYTHING in Annapolis and/or DC and give you a history as well.

    Love and hugs,
    M

  2. Sounds like you are having a great time and I can’t wait to see some more photos. It’s so great that you have been such an amazing part of history!!!
    Have fun!Jessica

  3. The Wonder interview cracked me up. Right before they cut away the lady who was interviewing Stevie Wonder asked something to the effect, “So, what was it like playing on that stage with the statue of Lincoln behind you and SEEING all those people on the mall?”. Stevie is such a nice guy that he didn’t say something like, “Lincoln? the Mall? holycrap! I’m blind and they told me I was playing halftime at a football game!”.

My other favorite quote or part of last night was when Matthews was totally punchy and talking/mumbling about the President’s dancing. He said something like “you have to put it between her legs” (referring to placing your foot between her feet so you don’t step on the gown) like totally out of no where, no lead in, nothing. There was this uncomfortable pause and then they let him off the hook. I was ready for Keith to shout something like “What in the F are you talking about Chris?”. Chris Matthews gets the emergency brake award for yesterday.

Thank you for sharing yesterday with us!

  4. Reading through your on-the-spot blog yesterday added so much to my enjoyment of the historic event. I got the link from dGrin and have really enjoyed following your adventures. Thank you so much for sharing with those of us who were not able to join the crowds in DC.
